    Sarsaparilla is a tropical plant from the genus Smilax. It’s found in South America, Jamaica, the Caribbean, Mexico, Honduras, and the West Indies.

    Historically, sarsaparilla was used around the world for treating joint problems like arthritis, and for healing skin problems like psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis.  Sarsaparilla was later introduced into European medicine and eventually registered as an herb in the United States Pharmacopoeia to treat syphilis.  As research continued, it was discovered to stop of bone-loss, prevent low body weight and ward off fever and stress.

    Sarsaparilla’s most predominant compounds are known as saponins.  State-of-the-art science has found that they reduce joint pain and skin itching, and also kill bacteria and protect the liver.

  • Eurycoma Longifolia

    Eurycoma Longifolia Jack is a tall, single-stemmed, shrubby, slow-growing tree found on sandy soil in Malaysia.  It is locally known as “Tongkat Ali” and is often described as “Malaysian ginseng” due to its popularity among various ethnic groups as a treatment for various diseases and enhancing health.

    Eurycoma Longifolia contains a class of compounds known as quassinoids.  Traditionally, Eurycoma longifolia was used as an antidiabetic and antibacterial.  It’s known to increase sexual motivation and serve as an antimalarial, antiulcer, antipyretic, and antitumor medicine.

  • Fenugreek Saponins

    Fenugreek is an annual plant found primarily in Mediterranean countries, the Middle East, and India. The seeds are often used as a food spice (curry) and in traditional medicine. Fenugreek seeds are assumed to have restorative and nutritive properties as recorded in early medical texts.

    Traditionally, fenugreek seeds have been reported to be useful in hormonal regulation, in particular for male impotence and to help moms produce more milk. In India, ground fenugreek seeds mixed with jaggery are recommended for females after childbirth for their anabolic effects to develop and strengthen muscles.  Recent studies on fenugreek seeds extracts support their effectiveness in promoting lean body mass with an overall increase in athletic performance.
